Trump And Zelenskyy Host Discussions At Mar-a-Lago
One of the major unresolved issues that remains un-agreed upon is land.
President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met at Mar-a-Lago Sunday.
After the meeting, officials reported that negotiators agreed to 90% of a 20-point peace proposal backed by the Ukrainian leader that aims to end the conflict with Russia. Zelenskyy’s drafted proposal comes in response to a previous 28-point peace proposal by the Trump administration.
Zelenskyy’s plan involves Ukraine receiving security guarantees from the U.S. and Europe including Ukraine joining the European Union. It also calls for Ukraine to receive $800 billion in aid to rebuild its infrastructure and economy after the war and more.
One of the major unresolved issues that remains un-agreed upon is land. Future negotiations are set to take place to finalize and discuss further matters.
