One Injured In Horry Co. Stabbing Incident
A male was found lying on his back in the roadway with a "severe laceration."
A stabbing incident in Horry County left one person injured.
The situation unfolded around 11:35pm Monday in the 6000 block of St. Peter’s Church Road in the Burgess area.
When police arrived, a male was found lying on his back in the roadway with a “severe laceration” on his left shoulder below his neck.
Officers provided “life saving measures” while a woman who was attempting to help the man was escorted away. A smaller cut on the man’s back near his left shoulder blade was also discovered.
The victim was taken to a hospital but his current condition is unknown. It is unclear what led up to the stabbing.
The woman on the scene reported that she did not know who the suspect was and no arrests have been made at this time. An investigation is underway as authorities work to learn more.
