A massive manhunt for the suspect of the fatal shooting at Brown University has come to an end.
48-year-old Claudio Neves Valente was identified as a former Brown student and a Portuguese national. On Thursday, he was located at a New Hampshire storage facility where he was discovered deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Investigators believe he is responsible for fatally shooting two students and wounding nine other people last Saturday. He is also accused of killing Portuguese MIT Professor Nuno F.G. Loureiro two days later at his Brookline home.
An investigation remains active to reveal additional information. After officials revealed the suspect’s identity, President Trump suspended the green card lottery program that allowed Neves Valente to stay in the United States.
