Ripley’s Aquarium Pauses Penguin Interactions

Ripley’s Aquarium is pausing its penguin interaction opportunities.
The company took to social media to share that the decision is temporary but comes as officials monitor a local increase in avian illness.
“This allows our penguins to remain comfortably within their habitat. Guests can still visit and enjoy seeing our penguins in their playhouse, where they remain active and cared for by our dedicated animal care team,” Ripley’s Facebook post read.
Officials said there are not any current risks to guests and protective measures are in place to make sure the penguins are healthy and safe.
