Jimmy Gray of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce was in the studio with details on the Beach Renourishment Project along the Grand Strand.
The United States Army Corps of Engineers has started offshore equipment mobilization on the North End and will continue working 24 hours a day until they finish on the South End in early 2026.
The federally funded project helps protect life, property, and wildlife along our 60 miles of coastline by placing sand back on the beach in order to strengthen our dunes, preserve habitats, and reduce the risk of storm damage.
