Holiday Bark Sold At Aldi’s Recalled Over Allergens
The Cookie Butter flavor was placed in the Pecan, Cranberry and Cinnamon packaging and vice versa.
Holiday bark sold at Aldi has been recalled.
The recall covers two different varieties of Silvestri Sweets Inc. Choceur-branded holiday barks. That includes Cookie Butter flavor and the Pecan, Cranberry, and Cinnamon flavor. It was placed due to the presence of undeclared allergens.
It was discovered that there was a packaging mix-up, meaning the Cookie Butter flavor was placed in the Pecan, Cranberry and Cinnamon packaging and vice versa.
Due to the error, the Cookie Butter bark may contain undeclared peanuts, and the other bark may contain undeclared wheat. This poses a threat to consumers who are allergic to or have a sensitivity to the ingredients posing life threatening reactions.
