CCU Fires Football Head Coach Tim Beck
Defensive Coordinator Jeremiah Johnson will serve as interim coach.
Coastal Carolina University has fired its head football coach.
Across his three seasons, Tim Beck’s final record with the school was 20-18 overall and 13-10 in conference play. His run included a 8-5 record in 2023 and a bowl win in the Hawaii Bowl, a 6-7 record in 2024 and a 6-6 record in 2025.
CCU’s Vice President of Athletics, Chance Miller, said that a comprehensive review of the entire football program and its trajectory determined a change.
“Our expectation for this football program is to win the Sun Belt conference championship and compete for a spot in the College Football Playoff, and that will guide us in our search for our next head coach,” Miller said.
Defensive Coordinator Jeremiah Johnson will serve as interim coach as a national search is conducted for Beck’s replacement.
