Ukrainian and U.S. delegations agreed on "the core terms" of the agreement but some details still need to be worked out.
Ukraine has mostly agreed to major points of a peace proposal backed by the Trump administration.
Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council confirmed that Ukrainian and U.S. delegations agreed on “the core terms” of the agreement but some details still need to be worked out.
Communications will continue Tuesday and Ukraine is reportedly looking forward to organizing a visit of Ukraine’s president to the U.S. at the earliest convenient date to complete final steps and make a deal with President Trump.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the U.S. “has made tremendous progress towards a peace deal by bringing both Ukraine and Russia to the table.”
