Trump Plans To Issue Tariff Rebates Next Year

The proposal will give $2,000 checks to most Americans to give back to American taxpayers amid the high tariffs.

President Trump said that he plans to issue tariff rebates sometime mid to late next year.

“We’ve taken in hundreds of millions of dollars in tariff money. We’re going to be issuing dividends later on, somewhere prior to, no, probably the middle of next year, a little bit later than that, of thousands of dollars for individuals of moderate income, middle income,” Trump said. He added, they plan to pay down debt with the tariff money.

The proposal will give $2,000 checks to most Americans to give back to American taxpayers amid the high tariffs. Senate Republicans are pushing to use the money collected from tariffs to pay down the large national debt that sits at $38 trillion.
