Horry Co. Council Approves New ER Plans

The county passed a rezoning request on the third reading to rezone nearly eight acres at Forestbrook Road.

Horry County officials approved plans to build a new ER along Forestbrook Road.

Back in June, Tidelands Health announced a partnership with intuitive health to build three integrated ER and urgent care facilities, each having a Tidelands Health family medicine office.

The county passed a rezoning request on the third reading to rezone nearly eight acres at Forestbrook Road and Forest Edge Drive.

This location has already gone through the right-of-way process for the widening sanctioned under the Ride III project.

The other locations are planned for River Oaks Boulevard in Myrtle Beach and along Highway 501 in Conway.

The facilities will be open 24/7, and have a full-service emergency department featuring on-site laboratory and imaging services and an urgent-care center.
