President Trump Says He’s Open To Conducting Strikes In Mexico
“Would I launch strikes into Mexico to stop drugs? Ok with me. Whatever we have to do to stop drugs,” Trump said.
President Trump said that he is open to conducting strikes in Mexico.
“Would I launch strikes into Mexico to stop drugs? Ok with me. Whatever we have to do to stop drugs,” Trump said. He added that he looked at Mexico City over the weekend and noticed some big problems in the area.
When asked if he would ask for the Mexican government’s permission to launch strikes, he declined to answer but said they know where he stands.
Potential strikes inside the country would expand the president’s campaign to end trafficking narcotics in Central and South America.
The comments come as the U.S. military has been taking out alleged drug-trafficking boats in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific. So far, 21 vessels have been blown up, killing at least 83 people, which the administration has called “narco-terrorists.”
