President Trump Suggests $10k Bonus For Air Traffic Controllers
The suggestion comes after he demanded all air traffic controllers to return to work.
President Trump suggested giving a bonus to air traffic controllers who remain on the job through the government shutdown.
During the shutdown, air traffic controllers have not received pay checks as federal funding is paused. Many of the federal employees have rejected to show up due to the lack of pay.
On Tuesday, the president took to Truth Social to float the idea of rewarding controllers. That comes after he demanded all air traffic controllers to return to work. He added, “anyone who doesn’t will be substantially docked.”
Trump went on to recommend that $10,000 should be granted to each controller who has remained stationed as a service to the country.
