Man Sentenced For Drug And Weapon Charges

One man has been sentenced on drug and weapon related charges.

In January, Horry County officials conducted an operation in connection to the illegal sale and distribution of drugs.

23-year-old Jackie Gore III of Little River sold fentanyl to an undercover confidential informant. The interaction was captured on audio and video surveillance.

A search warrant was executed at Gore’s home in which trafficking weight of fentanyl was collected along with an auto sear, which converts a semiautomatic rifle into a fully automatic one.

Gore pleaded guilty to possession of a machine gun, as well as distribution of fentanyl and possession with intent to distribute. He was sentenced to five years on the weapon charge, 10 years for distribution and 10 years for possession with intent to distribute.
