The Democratic Representative currently represents District 52, including Richland and Kershaw Counties.
“Every step of my journey, from homelessness to the State House, has been guided by fearless faith,” Johnson said. He added, that same faith is leading him into a new journey for the people of South Carolina.
Johnson will be running as a Democrat against Mullins McLeod as well as Republican candidates Alan Wilson, Pamela Evette, and Nancy Mace.
