Game 3 Tied For Longest World Series Game Ever

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays are set to faceoff again Tuesday night at 8pm.

Game 3 of the World Series Monday night, tied for the longest Fall Classic game ever.

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays made history with their 18-inning marathon. The game wrapped with Freddie Freeman’s walk-off home run in the bottom of the 18th securing the Dodger’s 6-5 win. The victory gave Dodgers a 2-1 lead in the World Series. Both teams are set to faceoff again Tuesday night at 8pm.

Game 3’s length equaled the record 18-inning game in 2018, when the Dodgers beat the Boston Red Sox on Max Muncy’s home run, also during Game 3 of that World Series matchup. Before the 2018 record, the longest World Series game was 14 innings, which happened in 1916, 2005, and 2015.
