U.S. And China Reach Agreement On Trade Deal “Framework”

The U.S. and China have reached an agreement on the “framework” of a trade deal.
Following two days of negotiations, President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are expected to meet in South Korea on Thursday. That will mark the end of Trump’s five-day trip to Asia.
Earlier this month, Trump announced plans to impose 100% tariffs on Chinese goods by Nov. 1. That came in response to Beijing requiring a license to export any products containing rare Earth materials.
However, the current framework could avoid the 100% tariff as negotiators settle on a plan for the possible trade agreement.
