Myrtle Beach Roads Closed For Infrastructure Upgrades

The project is expected to be North Oak Street will be closed from the intersection of Highway 501 to the intersection of Broadway and Oak Streets.by the end of the year.

The city of Myrtle Beach kicked off a planned project aimed at improving infrastructure.

Starting Monday, North Oak Street will be closed from the intersection of Highway 501 to the intersection of Broadway and Oak Streets.

Crews will be installing new water, sewer and stormwater lines. The project also includes upgraded electrical systems, new sidewalks, curb improvements and gutters. There will also be a bike lane.

There are detour signs set up to assist drivers with navigating the area. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
