Trump Seeking Money From Justice Department As Compensation
"I was damaged greatly, and any money I would get I would give to charity," Trump said.
A new report says President Trump is seeking money from the Justice Department as compensation for past investigations into his conduct.
The president filed lawsuits alleging his rights were violated in the investigation into possible Russian coordination with his campaign in 2016. He also alleged being violated when the FBI searched his Mar-a-Lago property in 2022 as part of a probe of his handling of classified documents.
A second claim alleged harassment by top Justice Department officials during the Biden administration. His legal team is demanding $230 million in compensation.
“I was damaged greatly, and any money I would get I would give to charity,” Trump said.
