Fire Causes Thousands In Damages At Train Depot
The cause of the flames was undetermined following an investigation.
A report has been released with details regarding a fire at the historic Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Depot.
On the afternoon of September 22, the Conway Fire Department was called to the Horry Co. train depot on Highway 905.
HCFR crews also responded to the scene to assist with battling the flames. Around 40 firefighters worked to put out the three-alarm fire.
There was an estimated $250,000 in property losses and $75,000 in estimated content losses. The cause of the flames was undetermined following an investigation.
The train depot has not been active for years and no injuries were reported.
