Horry Co. Deputy Administrator To Retire

A top Horry County administrator announced plans to retire.
Randy Webster was named assistant administrator over public safety in November 2019. He first began his career with Horry County in 1989 with his public safety experience spanning across emergency management, EMS and the fire service.
Webster was named the emergency management director in 2003. Throughout his time with the county, he gained a reputation for multi-tasking and for his leadership during major storms. His work prompted officials to put his name on a $24 million public safety facility that opened in 2023.
Webster’s retirement will take effect on November 3. A successor has not been selected at this time.
