Florence Co. Authorities Curfew Reminder

The curfew reminder comes after a 15-year-old was charged in connection to a shooting.

Florence County authorities are reminding the community of a juvenile curfew implemented within city limits.

The ordinance prohibits those “16 years of age or younger to loiter, wander, stroll or play in or upon the public streets, highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds, or other public grounds, public places, vacant lots or any place unsupervised by an adult having the lawful authority to be at such places.”

The curfew is implemented between midnight and 6am. The goal is to help promote public safety, and the well-being of local youth in the Florence community.
