Detor During Marion Co. Bridge Project
Work will start on October 23 and will last until fall of next year.
A bridge replacement project in Marion County is set to begin soon.
The project will result in closure of the Senate Gasque Road over Maiden-Down Swamp in Marion County.
A detour will be set up leading from Tranquil Church Road to Highway 76, then to Millers Road.
The purpose of the project is to “correct the structural deficiencies” of the bridge, which was built in 1967.
Drivers are asked to slow down and pay attention while traveling in the area.
