Debris from a now sunken ship is washing ashore along the coast.
The 48-foot shrimp boat caught fire on Monday before sinking nearly a half-mile from the Cherry Grove Pier in North Myrtle Beach.
Since then, authorities have received reports of parts of the ship washing up. Officials have retrieved the fuel tank after it was found on land.
Now, people have reported finding parts of the wreckage washing ashore in Myrtle Beach as well. Crews cleared a pile of debris from 62nd Avenue North and the northern beaches within city limits.
Authorities are asking residents to be on the lookout for more. If you stumble upon debris on the beach, contact the city using their non-emergency line.
