Chase Involving Several Agencies Ends In Arrest
It was said the suspect had an active warrant at the time of his arrest.
A police chase in Horry County ended with the arrest of one suspect.
Around 8:30am Tuesday, police attempted to pull over a vehicle near 48th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach.
The driver refused to stop leading police on a 45 minute chase that ended near the Inlet Point Villas community of Cherry Grove.
The situation involved officers drawing their firearms, but no shots were fired.
Horry County police said the suspect crossed jurisdictions several times during the pursuit, which also involved North Myrtle and Myrtle Beach police departments. No one was injured during the incident.
Authorities have not released the name of the suspect. It was said he had an active warrant at the time of his arrest. He was taken to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
