ChatGPT Introduces New Parental Controls

OpenAI announces new parental controls aimed at protecting the younger generation.

Parents will now be allowed to link their own ChatGPT accounts to the accounts of their teenagers. They can also customize settings for a safe, age-appropriate experience.

Certain types of content are then automatically restricted on a teen’s linked account. That includes graphic content, viral challenges, sexual content, and “extreme beauty ideals.”

Parents can also opt to receive a notification from OpenAI if their child exhibited potential signs of harming themselves while interacting with ChatGPT.
