Three People Dead And Several Injured In Southport Shooting
An investigation remains underway to reveal the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Now heading up the road a little ways, a shooting in North Carolina left three people dead and several others injured.
The shooting occurred around 9:30pm on Saturday outside the American Fish Company in Southport. It is a well-known dockside establishment along the Intracoastal Waterway.
A suspect approached the eatery’s dock and opened fire into a crowd before fleeing north up the waterway. Three people were pronounced dead while multiple others were transported to local hospitals with injuries.
40-year-old Nigel Edge of Oak Island was arrested Sunday. He has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder, five counts of attempted first-degree murder and five counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
