Robeson Co. Hit-And-Run Leaves One Victim Dead

The incident happened around 5:30pm Wednesday along Mt. Zion Road near the Hoke County Line.

A fatal hit and run in Robeson County resulted in the death of one person.

The incident happened around 5:30pm Wednesday along Mt. Zion Road near the Hoke County Line.

Investigators believe that a man was walking illegally in the roadway without any visible or reflectorized clothing. The vehicle that struck the man fled the scene.

The victim has been identified as 48-year-old Gary Brayboy of Pembroke. He was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation is underway to learn more.
