Several Vehicles Damaged During Suspected Shots Fired Incident

Around 9:30pm Monday, police responded to Bombing Range Road and Dewitt Road.

An investigation is underway following reports of shots fired in Horry County.

Around 9:30pm Monday, police responded to Bombing Range Road and Dewitt Road. A witness reported hearing over 27 rounds being fired.

The officers found about 25 shell casings at the scene. They were scattered nearly a half-mile down the road.

Police believe that two vehicles may have exchanged gunfire while traveling toward Highway 90.

During the incident, three vehicles that were not involved were struck. Another vehicle was found damaged by gunfire on James Bellamy Circle.

No injuries have been reported at this time. Further details remain limited as authorities work to learn more.
