Apparent Drug Deal Results In Fatal Shooting

A shooting in Florence County resulted in the death of one man and left two others injured.

The situation unfolded around 6pm on Monday along N. Old River Road in the Pamplico area.

Police discovered that 24-year-old Ky’ree Taylor drove to meet a 16-year-old with intent to buy marijuana. Upon arrival, Taylor pulled a gun attempting to rob the teen and the shot them.

The teen then grabbed the gun and shot Taylor, killing him. The teen also shot the passenger, a woman who remains in critical condition.

The teen fled the scene and was later located and transported for surgery on his arm and remains in the hospital.

Both the teen and Taylor were out of jail on bond for unrelated shooting incidents.

The teen is facing a pending murder charge. An investigation remains underway.
