Trump Files $15B Lawsuit Against The New York Times
A spokesperson for the The New York Times said the lawsuit lacks any legitimate legal claims
President Trump has filed a $15 billion defamation and libel lawsuit against The New York Times.
The lawsuit listed several stories and a book written by two journalists before the 2024 Presidential Election, alleging they are part of the “decades-long pattern” by the Gray Lady of “intentional and malicious defamation against” the president.
Trump’s legal team said “the defendants used the book and the articles to make numerous malicious, defamatory, and disparaging claims about president trump based on distortion and fabrication.” They also claim that the defendants recklessly disregard the truth.
A spokesperson for the Times said the lawsuit lacks any legitimate legal claims adding that they will continue to pursue the facts without fear.
