A statue has returned to the Myrtle Beach area following a 10-year absence.

The Springmaid Seal Statue has been situated at the Ellie Beach Resort near the Springmaid Pier.

It was previously a part of a fountain in a pool and now it can be viewed at the resort’s mini golf course.

The resort is located along South Ocean Boulevard.

Tuesday marked the 10th anniversary to the day that the statue was initially removed as well as the date of its return.
