Teen Arrested For Vehicle Break-Ins Outside Florence Federal Building

A string of vehicle break-ins took place outside the Florence Federal Building on West Evans Street.

One juvenile has been arrested while police are searching for another suspect in connection to a Florence County incident.

On Monday morning, a string of vehicle break-ins took place outside the Florence Federal Building on West Evans Street.

Police were informed that “two suspect were pulling door handles and looked to be tampering with vehicles in the parking-lot.” When police arrived, the suspects fled the scene on foot.

The teenager was found at the Cambridge Court apartments on West Darlington Street. Authorities searched the location where he was found and discovered drugs.

The captured teen has been transported to the juvenile detention center and charged with possession of crack cocaine. Other charges are expected to follow pending an investigation. The second suspect has not been located at this time.
