Makita Recalls Over 62k Cordless Grease Guns & Hoses

Makita has received five reports of the grease gun hose failing, each resulting in injuries.

More than 62,000 cordless grease guns and hoses have been recalled.

The Makita-brand professional cordless grease guns have a flexible hose that can develop holes over time.

The holes can cause grease to expel from the hose while the gun is being used. The issue poses a laceration risk.

Makita has received five reports of the grease gun hose failing, each resulting in injuries.

The products were sold at hardware and home improvement stores nationwide, as well as online, between June 2020 and January of this year.

Consumers are urged to stop use and contact Makita for a free replacement hose.
