A vote on the suggested changes will likely take place at a shareholder meeting in Texas on November 6.

Elon Musk could soon become the world’s first trillionaire.

The Tesla CEO, whose net worth already tops $436 billion, could become even more wealthy if Tesla shareholders move forward with proposed payment changes.

Tesla’s board has suggested the new pay package but Musk would have to raise the company’s stock market value from around $1.1 trillion to $8.5 trillion in order to receive over 400 million more stock shares.

That means Musk must create nearly $7.5 trillion in value for shareholders for him to receive the full award. A vote on the suggested changes will likely take place at a shareholder meeting in Texas on November 6.
