Trump Administration Approves Arms Sale With Ukraine
The weapons deal is valued at $825 million and will include extended-range missiles and more.
The Trump administration has approved an arms sale with Ukraine.
The weapons deal is valued at $825 million and will include extended-range missiles and related equipment to boost the country’s defensive capabilities.
The sale will involve 3,350 ERAM missiles, 3,350 GPS units, along with components, spare parts and other accessories. The funds will also provide training and technical support.
The sale comes as Russia ramps up its attacks on Ukraine. The attacks continue after President Trump met with Putin earlier this month to press for a negotiated agreement to end the three-year war.
The U.S. has been pushing for peace between Ukraine and Russia for sometime now. However, neither side appears to be serious about reaching a settlement.
