Little River to Host Inaugural Patriot’s Day Festival

Saturday, September 13, 2025

The Little River Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the launch of a new annual tradition: Patriot’s Day, a community celebration honoring military veterans, first responders, and public service members.

The inaugural event will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2025, and promises to be a powerful tribute to service, sacrifice, and unity.
The day’s events will begin with a parade, featuring color guards, and veteran groups, followed by a ceremony of remembrance and celebration at the Little River waterfront. The program will include patriotic music, guest speakers, and the presentation of a commemorative wreath by the U.S. Coast Guard.

Key components of Patriot’s Day include:
• A permanent memorial site at Vereen Memorial Gardens.
• Annual scholarships for local high school students in the areas of art, writing, and
public speaking.
• A community boat procession and family-friendly festival atmosphere.
• The creation of a 911 Artificial Reef, enhancing marine life and creating a lasting
environmental tribute.

The Chamber is currently seeking sponsors and community partners. Opportunities include financial sponsorships, in-kind support, and volunteer participation.
