Fight Breaks Out Between Walmart Employee And Customer

An employee stopped two customers that were leaving the retail location with intentions to check their receipt.

An investigation is underway after an altercation broke out at a Walmart in Florence.

Around 5pm on Friday, authorities responded to the store located along S. Irby Street.

Officials were informed that an employee stopped two customers that were leaving the retail location with intentions to check their receipt.

Words were exchanged prompting one of the customers to push the employee, causing him to stumble. The employee then punched the male resulting in a physical altercation.

Another person broke up the fight and the two initial customers fled the scene before officers arrived.

The employee was transported to a hospital but did not appear to suffer major injuries.

No arrests have been announced at this time.
