42nd Myrtle Beach Amateur Championship To Soon Kick Off

USGA Chief Executive Officer Michael Whan will be attending the World’s Largest 19th Hole.

The 42nd Play Golf Myrtle Beach Amateur Championship kicks off on Monday.

More than 2,900 registrants from 47 states and 18 countries are set to play on nearly 60 Grand Strand courses.

The championship combines world-class tournament operations and administration with Myrtle Beach’s unique golfing experiences. The involves all golf enthusiasts, regardless of age, skill level, or hometown.

United States Golf Association Chief Executive Officer Michael Whan will be attending the World’s Largest 19th Hole at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center following the first round on Monday.

Whan is is one of golf’s most powerful people and is expected to participate in an on-stage round-table discussion. The tournament will wrap up next Friday.
