Woman Arrested After Pointing Firearm At Victim And Children

A woman has been arrested following an incident that unfolded in Marlboro County.

The situation took place Tuesday night outside an apartment located on Woods Avenue in the Clio area.

Janasia Cain is accused of pointing and presenting a handgun at a woman and her minor children.

Cain fled the scene but damaged the victim’s vehicle as she was driving away. She was later pulled over and detained.

The firearm described in the incident was found in her possession. She has been charged with pointing and presenting a fire-arm, unlawful conduct toward a child, breach of peace of a high and aggravated nature, and malicious injury to personal property.

Cain was booked into the Marlboro County Detention Center on a $14,000 bond.
