A historic cemetery in Darlington County was damaged when a suspected drunk driver crashed into nearly 30 grave sites.
The incident occurred on Saturday night when 52-year-old Jose Trejo ran his vehicle into the cemetery at Swift Creek Baptist Church.
The cemetery was established over 240 years ago in 1783 and is one of the oldest in the area.

Trejo is facing charges of driving under the influence and having an open container. He was arrested at the scene and later released on bond.
