Texas House Democrats Announce Conditions For Return
A slew of Democrats fled the state in attempt to block the process of creating a new redistricting map.
Texas House Democrats are willing to return to the state under two conditions.
Earlier this month, a slew of Democrats fled the state in attempt to block the process of creating a new redistricting map that would give Republicans five additional seats on the committee.
The actions led to a lack of number of seats needed for a vote. Gov. Greg Abbott has threatened the Democrats through arrest warrants and seat removal.
However, the Democrats have now stated two conditions. That includes ending the legislative session as well as the introduction of redistricting maps in California, which would “neutralize” the proposed Texas changes.
