Man Arrested After Attempting To Steal Ambulance Following Robbery
Police responded to the 'Sea Level Restaurant' along S. Ocean Boulevard on reports of a disturbance.
One man was arrested following a series of events that unfolded in Myrtle Beach.
On Tuesday, police responded to the ‘Sea Level Restaurant’ along S. Ocean Boulevard on reports of a disturbance.
Upon arrival, security footage was reviewed showing 27-year-old Chadi Abdalla forcing his way through the front door of the business while armed with a kitchen knife. He then confronted a woman and stole her phone and purse before fleeing the scene.
On the same day, officers responded to Coventry Boulevard near Yorkshire Parkway. There Abdalla was witnessed pulling on the driver’s side door handle of an Horry County ambulance. He punched the window, breaking the glass, then crawled through and attempted to put the vehicle in drive.
Abdalla was detained and charged with armed robbery and grand larceny. He’s also accused of third-degree assault and battery, two counts of first-degree trespassing, second-degree burglary, and more.
