Ford Recalls Over 100k Vehicles Due To Axle Hub Bolt Issues

Owners can take their vehicle to a dealership to have the rear axle shaft assemblies replaced.

Ford has placed a recall on over 100,000 F-150 pickup trucks.

The recall was placed due to an issue with the vehicles’ axle hub bolts. The parts keep wheel hubs attached to the axle, which connects a vehicle’s wheels to the drive-train and supports its weight.

Faulty axle hub bolts can cause the vehicle to roll away when the parking brake is not applied or result in the loss of drive power. Both of the conditions can increase the risk of crash.

The issue involves the rear axle hub bolt that may break, and ultimately compromise the safety of the vehicle. The recall covers certain F-150 trucks produced between January of 2023 and May of 2025.
