The Trump administration is seeking for schools to serve fresh cooked meals that will take more employees and ingredients to put together.
The commission was required to send over recommendations to the White House to combat childhood chronic diseases. The report will not be released immediately to the public.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said that school lunch programs have deteriorated. He referenced how many ultra-processed foods and dyes are in school meals and suggested they are poisoning children.
“We need to stop poisoning our kids and make sure that Americans are once again the healthiest kids on the planet,” Kennedy said.
