Three People Dead Following Texas Target Shooting

A shooting in Austin, Texas resulted in the death of three people.

Monday afternoon, police responded to reports of the shooting at a Target location. Three victims were discovered in the store’s parking-lot.

One adult and one child were pronounced dead at the scene while another was taken to a hospital where they later died. A fourth victim was treated at the scene for unrelated injuries.

Following the shooting, the suspect stole a car a fled, crashing shortly after. He then hijacked another car and fled again before officers caught up to him and used a taser to detain him.

The suspect is a 32-year-old white male with a criminal record and history of mental health issues. His identity was not publicly revealed.
