Allan Rogers Official Latta Police Department Chief

The chief position opened after Christopher Bryant, along with several others, had their certifications suspended.

The town of Latta now has an official police chief.

Allan Rogers was first tapped to serve as the interim chief, but has now been hired to take on the role permanently.

Rogers was honored in February by the S.C. House of Representatives for his retirement from the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office after a 35-year career in law enforcement.

The chief position opened after Christopher Bryant, along with several others, had their certifications suspended. Their suspensions came due to unpaid fines racked up by the Latta Police Department.

A plan is now in place to pay down the fines.
