Man Sentenced In 2022 Child Sex Crime Case
40-year-old James Moss is required to register as a sex offender and pay $3,000 to the victim
One man has been sentenced in connection to a child sex crime.
In April of 2022, 40-year-old James Moss met a minor online. He picked them up and took them to a hotel room where he engaged in sexual activity with the juvenile.
Moss also recorded several videos of their sexual encounter. He has now been sentenced to four years in federal prison for transporting an individual with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. His imprisonment must be followed by a 10-year term of court-ordered supervision.
Moss is required to register as a sex offender and pay $3,000 to the victim. The case was brought as part of the Project Safe Childhood initiative.
