Dozens of people aboard a Delta Airlines plane were sent to a hospital after a situation mid-flight Wednesday.

Flight 56 took off from Salt Lake City heading to Amsterdam when it encountered “significant” turbulence.

There were 275 passengers and 13 crew members on board. The flight was diverted to Minneapolis-St. Paul where it landed safely.

Fire department and paramedic crews responded to the gate to provide initial medical attention. 25 passengers were transported to hospitals for further evaluation and care. No deaths have been reported.

The turbulence reportedly came out of nowhere and the FAA is investigating the incident.
