Two Charged After Children Found In Drug-Filled Home

The LPD Narcotics Division and the Special Operations Division searched a home on Furman Drive.

A search warrant led to the discovery of drugs in a home that children occupied.

Around 8pm last Thursday, the LPD Narcotics Division and the Special Operations Division searched a home on Furman Drive.

It was in connection to active warrants for Charles Sinclair. He was wanted for conspiracy to sell and deliver cocaine and fentanyl.

During the search, Sinclair was found inside the home along with suspected cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone, and money.

Home owner Dinisha Barfield was arrested along with Sinclair and each face several felony possession charges and more.

Barfield was charged with counts of misdemeanor child abuse after two small children were also found inside the home.

An investigation remains ongoing.
