Target Changes Its Price-Match Policy
Starting July 28, the retailer will only match its own in-store and online prices as Target.com, if the price drops within 14 days.
Target is ending its guarantee to price-match Amazon and Walmart policy.
The current price-match policy allows customers to find the identical item for less at either retailer and they will match it.
However, starting July 28, the retailer will only match its own in-store and online prices as Target.com, if the price drops within 14 days.
Neither Amazon nor Walmart currently match competitors’ prices. Target said guests overwhelmingly price match target and not other retailers, reflecting the great value and trust in pricing consumers see across their own assortment and deals.
Changing the policy-match policy to only matching within Target’s chain will reportedly allow consumers to continue to shop with confidence in-store and online.
